After landing at Dublin airport, we visited the Butlers chocolate factory, where we saw its facilities, known its history and done a workshop painting a chocolate figure.
We dedicate the day to visit the capital of Northern Ireland, in which the murals of the Catholic and Protestant neighborhoods stand out on the one hand and on the other hand the historic center and the Titanic neighborhood.
We travel part of the Causeway Coastal Route, which besides having tourist places as interesting as the Giant's Causeway or Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, has been the setting for some episodes of the Game of Thrones series.
In the morning we visit the walled city of Londonderry and the murals of the Bogside neighborhood. After lunch we visit the caves of Marble Arch. Finally, after leaving Northern Ireland, we see the Glencar waterfall.
We travel through the Connemara region, starting with the Killary Harbor Fjord, Kylemore Abbey and the scenic Sky Road along Clifden. In the afternoon we cross the Bog Road that takes us to Roundstone and the Inagh Valley.
We dedicate this day to visit the Cliffs of Moher, surely the most famous visit in Ireland. But besides the cliffs, the Burren region stands out, with castles, dolmens, caves and extraordinary rock formations.
After visiting the north coast of Mayo County, highlighting Downpatrick Head and Ceide Fields, we travel through Achill Island, with such interesting scenarios as the Keem beach, the cliffs of Croaghaun or the "deserted city".
During the morning we visit the lively city of Galway, which highlights the shopping streets that go from Eyre Square to Spanish Archs. After lunch we see the King John´s Castle and the beautiful village of Adare.
We tour the Dingle peninsula, which offers fantastic natural settings such as Brandon Point, Conor Pass or Slea Head and historical buildings such as the Gallarus oratory, the clocháns or the Kilmalkedar church.
One of the highlights on the trip to Ireland is the route through the Ring of Kerry, visiting places as interesting as the circular forts of Cahergall and Staigue, the Skellig Islands, Waterville, Caherdaniel or the Killarney National Park.
We start the day visiting the Blarney castle, we continue through the city of Cork where the English Market and the St. Finbarre´s Cathedral stand out, and we end up seeing the colorful houses and the cathedral of the coastal city of Cobh.
We spend the morning visiting Rock of Cashel. The rest of the day we visit the most interesting buildings in Kilkenny, such as its castle or the Cathedral of San Canice. At sunset we stroll through the nearby Priory of Kells.
We cross the country from south to north, seeing the castle of Portumna, the cathedral of Clonfert, the monastery of Clonacmoise and its three famous Celtic crosses, and the castle of Roscommon, before reaching Ballina.
After picking up our daughter in Foxford, we go to Dublin airport, where we only take a one-hour walk through Saint Stephen´s Green, the Grafton street shopping and Trinity College.
